Holy Cross Monastery — in West Park, New York — offers what the Celts called a “thin space”; in other words, spaces and moments where the distance between heaven and earth almost vanishes. Set on 27 acres facing the Hudson River, the monastery’s exterior and interior spaces allow time to flow quietly.

On display in a new exhibition at Holy Cross from March 2, 2025 through April 30, 2025, photos of these spaces and moments aim to bring viewers closer to that precious thin space.
